It's a common conversation, heard at least once a week all the years I've been working in bookstores:
"I love bookstores. I could spend hours in them. Have you read this? I haven't. I should, I suppose, it sounds so interesting! But I'm not going to buy another book until I've read the ones I already have. I just don't know where you find the time to read... "
